Hello everyone!

Well Trish and I have been in town for about two months now. I can say for sure that it is not how I planned it to go! This COVID-19 thing surely has things in an uproar. We can’t do church the way I have done it for almost 50 years. But, that’s okay, we’ll have a chance to regroup and fine tune some things on the other end of this. I am excited about that!

My main goal for us is to reach Edmonton with the saving gospel of Jesus Christ! After all the Scriptures tell us that Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost (Matt 1:21; Matt 18:11). So, if, we as a church want to do His will, we will do the same. As many of you know I have a lot of experience at leading churches to grow.

I have sure enjoyed the weather since our arrival, I even had my first fall in a long time. Getting out of the pickup at the church building I put my foot down, thinking that it was water (liquid), it was water, but not liquid. So my feet went and so did I, hit the pavement pretty hard. First thing I did was say “Lord please don’t have me have broken a hip.” I didn’t, at least it still works okay, just very sore. I spilled my extra large Timmies all over, mostly on me. So, I went home and had Trish bandage me up, had to cut away some skin from my forearm that I scrapped loose, so she could patch me up. Then back to my office for the morning. So, moral of the story, don’t assume that just because it looks liquid that it is, especially when the temp is under freezing.

Now back to ministry things. The livestream is going very well considering that we were kind of thrown into it. Thank you to all who are making it work! If you are not aware of it, we livestream as close to 10:30 Sunday mornings as we can. If you miss look us up on YouTube, you can go to the church website and click on the link that will take you to the YouTube site.

Also, to our youth and children, I cannot even imagine what it’s like to be off of school for so long with nowhere to go. YIKES!! I just want to let you know that I am praying for you guys! If I can do anything to help you out or you have any questions email me with them, pastorjohnimorris@gmail.com. I will answer you as soon as I can. Keep me in  your prayers if you would. Pray for me to have the wisdom from God to lead the church as God would have it and for my hip to stop hurting. You guys are the future of the church! Stay faithful to Jesus as much as you can!

Well, this is kind of a long blog, I’ll do better as we move along. I will attempt to do a weekly one to keep you all updated as much as possible.

Blessings!

Pastor

P.S. That goes for the adults also, you can email me or call me if you have a question that I can answer.
